Since starting this site, my journey of embracing my faith in Christ has been filled with remarkable experiences, from attending the Favor Conference 2024 to completing the BUILD course and getting baptized with my boyfriend. Let me share these unforgettable moments with you.
Overcoming Procrastination in Blogging
I have been procrastinating a bit on these posts because I feel a little intimidated by the current blogging community. It seems like everyone else is so polished and professional. But you know what? To heck with it! We all start somewhere, and the most important thing is to share my journey honestly.
Favor Conference 2024
A lot of things have happened since I started this site. One of the most significant events was attending the Favor Conference 2024. It was such a blast with so many amazing speakers, including some of my spiritual heroes. The energy was palpable, and the worship sessions were nothing short of heavenly.
I wish I could have taken more photos and notes during the conference. It was just so busy, and I was so in the moment that I couldn’t jot down everything that happened. All I can say is that Favor Conference 2024 was a BLAST! Meeting new people who share the same faith and passion was incredibly inspiring. I can’t wait for the next one!
Completing the BUILD Course at Favor Church
Another highlight was completing the BUILD course at church alongside my boyfriend. We met many awesome people along the way, people who are now friends and people I consider part of my spiritual family. Batch 26! <3
I highly recommend anyone going to Favor Church to sign up for the BUILD course. It lays the foundations of the Born Again Christian faith and beliefs, helping you understand the core tenets of our faith. The BUILD Course is also a prerequisite for all other GROW courses that Favor Church Manila offers, so it’s a crucial step if you want to get more involved. (ps. GROW course are FREE too)!
The BUILD courses run for four Saturdays, so the time commitment is minimal. The sessions were engaging and informative, and they left me feeling more grounded in my faith. If you haven’t yet, go and BUILD your house upon THE rock <3.
Our Baptism Experience
One of the most personal milestones this year was getting baptized with my boyfriend. What an amazing way of embracing faith. It was an amazing experience that I’ll cherish forever. I had been putting this off for a while because certain things kept happening every time I had the chance to do it. But finally, we made it happen.
Just a quick 411: Baptism is not a requirement for Christianity. It is merely a public declaration of our faith in Jesus, a statement that Jesus is the Lord of our lives, and that we strive to be like Christ and follow His commands. It was such a surreal, humbling, and overwhelming experience to feel the love of our Lord and Savior in that moment.
Presence Night Worship at Metrotent
I also attended Presence Night for the second time! The last Presence Night was at Crowne Plaza; this time, we held it at the Metrotent Convention Center. It was packed! Two hours of worship and being in the presence of God was something I would never miss for the world. The atmosphere was electric, and the collective energy of everyone worshipping together was powerful. God deserves our highest praise!
Reflecting on Smaller Events
Aside from those major events, many other smaller but significant events have happened. For instance, I’ve had the pleasure of attending various church events, got to meet new people outside of my own circle, invited friends to church and got to fellowship with them, and more! Each of these experiences has helped me grow spiritually and strengthened my sense of community in church too.
A Note to My Readers
Apologies to those who want to get some useful and valuable information here, but the purpose of my blog is to write down and share my experiences. Tomorrow, I will have another post, and I will do my best not to be lazy when it comes to sharing bits and pieces of my life with anyone who finds this humble blog.
I hope you have a blessed week, everyone I pray that you embrace faith in Christ and be bold!
In Christ,
Lara Krystle
